Prayer for Inner Healing

Lord Jesus, You came to heal wounded and troubled hearts; I ask You to heal the hurts that cause unrest in my heart. I ask You in a special way to heal those that are the cause of sin. I ask You to come into my life and heal me of the psychological hurts that struck me in childhood and of the wounds inflicted on me throughout my life.

Lord Jesus, You know my troubles; I lay them all in Your Heart, the Heart of the Good Shepherd. I ask You, by the great wound opened in Your Heart, to heal the small wounds of my heart. Heal the wounds of my memories, so that nothing that has happened to me may cause me suffering, worry or anxiety. Heal, Lord, all those hurts that have become a cause of sin in my life.

I want to forgive all the people who have wronged me. Look upon those inner hurts that make me unable to forgive. You who came to heal troubled hearts, heal my heart.

Heal, Lord Jesus, my inner hurts that are the cause of physical illness. I give You my heart. Be pleased to accept it, Lord, and to purify it. Fill me with the sentiments of Your divine Heart. Help me to be humble and meek.

Heal me, Lord, of the pain that weighs upon me because of the death of people dear to me. Grant that I may regain peace and joy through faith that You are the Resurrection and the Life. Make me a true witness of Your Resurrection, of Your victory over sin and death, of Your presence as the Living One among us. Amen.
