Prayer to Saint Raphael the Archangel for Healing

Good Saint Raphael, I call upon you as the patron of those afflicted by illness or bodily suffering. You prepared the remedy that restored Tobit's sight. Your name means “God heals.”

I ask your help in my need… (name it). If it is God's will, heal me of my illness, or at least give me the courage I need to bear it patiently in reparation for my sins and for the salvation of my soul. Teach me to unite my sufferings with those of Jesus and Mary and to seek God's grace in Holy Communion and in prayer. I want to imitate your zeal in fulfilling God's will in all things. Like young Tobias, I choose you as my companion on the journey through life. I want to listen to your inspirations. I entrust myself to your care, so that in God's grace I may reach the end of my earthly journey.

Saint Raphael, old Tobit said that you are “the help of God's grace.” Be my help, and obtain for me God's grace and what I commend to your powerful intercession. Divine physician, heal me as you once healed Tobit. Saint Raphael, you who are called “God's medicine” and “the Angel of health,” pray for me. Amen.
