Prayer for Healing from Illness

O God, Creator of man and Lord of life and death, be praised! If it is Your will, Lord, that I should recover, then free me from this illness. May the Holy Spirit, whom I received in the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation, help me to accept Your holy will. May He guide me; may He give me the courage to accept and carry Your cross.

I praise You, Lord, for all the graces You have given me and continue to give me. I want to carry out to the end the task You have entrusted to me. Through the merits of Your Son, who suffered on the Cross, I ask You: grant me health of body and soul. Amen.
