Prayer for Wisdom through the Intercession of Saint Rita

O eternal and wonderful God, You endowed creation with harmony and with every grace. You are the source of light and hope; You filled our reason with the clarity of faith. Be pleased to fill my mind with the light of Your wisdom, so that I may know how to dispel doubt and sin. You who make eloquent the tongues of the young, instruct my tongue as well, and bestow Your blessing on my lips. Give me keenness of understanding, ability in learning, ease in explaining.

Immaculate Virgin Mary, Seat of Wisdom, be my mediatrix. Intercede for me, you too, Saint Rita of Cascia, so that, guided by the light of faith, I may make my way toward that source of wisdom which is the fear of God, and so attain Christian perfection. Amen.
