Prayer before Study

Most Holy Trinity, source of perfection, love and truth: the world is Yours, all creatures are Yours, and so am I.

May every phenomenon and every event speak to me of You and of Your greatness.

Spirit of Truth, lead me to an ever better knowledge of the world, of myself and of the meaning of existence.

Give me an ardent love of truth, joy in seeking it and courage in professing it.

Christ, You are the Way; grant, I pray, that all the paths and roads of my life on which I find myself may lead in the end to You, and that together with You I may reach the Father's house.

Bless me and grant me perseverance in acquiring knowledge and understanding it rightly,

so that it may draw me ever closer to You and serve my nation and the Church of God blamelessly.

Amen.
