Through the divine power which, as the one invisible Priest, You exercise through Your priests – deliver us, O Jesus.

That You would deign to preserve all the ministers of the Church in holy devotion – we beseech You, graciously hear us, O Lord.

That the spirit of Your priesthood may fill them – we beseech You, graciously hear us, O Lord.

That the lips of priests may keep knowledge – we beseech You, graciously hear us, O Lord.

That You would deign to send unflagging laborers into Your harvest – we beseech You, graciously hear us, O Lord.

That You would turn Your servants into burning torches – we beseech You, graciously hear us, O Lord.

That You would deign to raise up shepherds after Your own Heart – we beseech You, graciously hear us, O Lord.

That all priests may be blameless and without stain – we beseech You, graciously hear us, O Lord.

That all who see the ministers of the altar may honor the Lord – we beseech You, graciously hear us, O Lord.

That they may offer You sacrifices in righteousness – we beseech You, graciously hear us, O Lord.

That through them You would deign to spread the worship of the Most Blessed Sacrament – we beseech You, graciously hear us, O Lord.

O Priest and Victim – we beseech You, graciously hear us, O Lord.

Let us pray. O God, Sanctifier and Guardian of Your Church, raise up in her by Your Spirit worthy and faithful stewards of the holy Mysteries, so that by their ministry and example, and with Your help, the Christian people may be guided on the way of salvation. O God, You commanded the disciples, as they prayed and fasted, to set apart Paul and Barnabas for the work to which You had appointed them: be with Your Church now as she perseveres in prayer, and make known those whom You have chosen for Your service.
