Entrustment to the Care of Saint Joseph

Father of the poor, O holy Joseph, behold us, poor in the holy treasures of heaven, poor in virtues and graces; after Mary, we implore you, Patron most powerful with God. Obtain for us the forgiveness of our sins and a loathing for sin. Obtain for us a love of virtue, piety, patience and the fear of God.

Obtain for us an increase of strong and steadfast faith, of unshakable hope and of most ardent love of God and neighbor. As Joseph of Egypt was the savior of his people and his land, so may you, our Patron, be our protection, our help and our deliverer in all our needs of soul and body.

Shield our holy Catholic Church, protect our homeland, defend all Christian states of life, and above all defend the little ones and our young people. Give us our bread, give us a pure life, give us a holy death and eternal salvation. Amen.
