Prayer to Find Work

Mary, through work God commanded us to subdue the earth. He invited us to continue the work of creation. For by working, man cooperates with God in shaping the world. And at the same time work allows man to live with dignity.Your family, Mary, is the best example of this. You lived by the work of Saint Joseph. But I cannot support my family. We do not have enough for bread, for rent, for medicine, for our children's schooling and for other basic needs.Until recently I did not understand how precious work is.Now I wake up every morning and, through you, I implore your Sonto help me find work.I have a trade, I want to work, and yet I am unemployed.Comforter of the Afflicted, intercede for me and my family!Obtain for me the grace to find work, so that I may live with dignity.Amen.
