Prayer of a Father to Saint Joseph

Saint Joseph, foster father of the Savior, who faithfully fulfilled the will of the Creator and Redeemer of man, from whom all fatherhood in heaven and on earth takes its origin, teach me to look with your eyes upon the gift of the vocation to parenthood and upon my place in the family, so that I may always joyfully welcome conceived life as a special gift of the eternal Father.

Help me to provide for, raise and form my children after the pattern and example of the Son of God. Teach me how to keep in our family home a climate of peace, piety, trust, unity and love, which you radiated beside the Immaculate Mother in the house of Nazareth.

Glory of family life, surround my family with your mighty protection, so that it may reflect the Holy Family and bring glory to God and benefit to other people.
