Prayer to Find a Good Husband

O God, I choose the way of marriage for myself as the way to fulfill my vocation, to fulfill myself and to find happiness.

Give me the grace of the Holy Spirit, so that it is I who direct my life; that I may meet a man

with whom I could worthily fulfill the tasks for which You instituted marriage.Strengthen my soul in virtue, that I may prepare for married life:that I may know how to live in love, faithfulness and honesty.Help me to make the best use of my years as a single womanto acquire the virtues and qualities I will need in the future,so that I may be a good wife and mother. May my preparation for marriage be such

that afterwards I will have nothing from my youth to hide from my husband or to conceal from my children,

so that my life may serve them as an example to follow.My heavenly Father, somewhere there already lives the man who is looking for me,with whom I will be able to be united, the father of my children.Surround him with Your care. May he remain pure, may he be self-controlled and noble– for You and for me. Keep me, too, for him.Strengthen us, so that our future home may be rich in Your graces.Amen.
