Prayer for a Good Husband through the Intercession of Saint Joseph

Saint Joseph, Spouse of the Mother of God! On the threshold of mature and independent life I turn to you for help in making the difficult decision of marriage and of choosing the right husband. The knowledge that the Most Holy Virgin Mary, the Mother of God herself, found in you the best companion in life and a faithful Spouse brings me to you today in this matter. I ask you for the grace of a good husband, a faithful companion in life, with whom I could be joined by the bonds of sacramental grace, found a family strong in God, share our lot in good times and in bad, in mutual understanding, respect, love and self-giving, and build the happiness of family life on the principles of the Gospel. Amen.
