Prayer for Sobriety through the Intercession of Saint Maximilian Mary Kolbe

Saint Maximilian, you who so often reminded us that Satan, by means of alcohol, takes many immortal souls away from Christ, keep us in your care. By sacrificing yourself for another human being, you showed how great is the value of human life. Therefore the Church in Poland wishes to honor you as the Patron of Sobriety. Obtain strength, we pray, for our Catholic nation, which solemnly vowed to Our Lady of Jasna Góra to fight against drunkenness. Help us to encourage our neighbors effectively to live in sobriety. Amen.
