Our Lady of La Salette

For self-control, controlling emotions and keeping purity through the intercession of Blessed Karolina Kózka. I would like to entrust myself to her for the time of engagement and marriage together with my girlfriend. I ask for intercessory prayer, that I may discern this desire well and begin working on myself, especially through spiritual direction and sincere confession.

Yesterday the dad of a friend from university died. Please pray.

Please pray for health for my mum, who complains of more and more ailments. Lately she often complains about her heart; she was told to rest, but she does physical work in a supermarket. Mum often takes sick leave, goes for tests, and recently came back from the doctor with a whole bag of medicines. She is a few years short of a small pension, but the shop where she works is soon to change from a chain store into a franchise. Nobody wants to tell the staff what will happen next. I ask for one Hail Mary for a young man, a student, who is trying to get back on his feet after a nervous breakdown following his dad's death and failed studies. He smokes too many cigarettes from nerves, and to make matters worse I fear he is developing schizophrenia.

Please pray for my aunt's mental health. Both of her parents died long ago, and last year her brother too. She has no husband or children. Loneliness weighs on her. She is so oversensitive about her health that she often skips eating, because she convinces herself she has digestive problems, and then she searches the internet for illnesses she claims to have and goes from doctor to doctor hoping they will manage to diagnose her. The mother of my university friend, Gabrysia, found out before Easter that her doctor suspects ovarian cancer. She will soon have an X-ray and other tests. Please pray for both of them and their whole family

I kindly ask for prayer for graces for my Dad and for my conversion. I see only flaws in him, I can't see his good qualities, I can't be grateful to him for everything he has done for me. I can't stand him as a person, I can't build a healthy relationship with him. I also ask for prayer for my conversion, for seeing the good in him and for the ability to show gratitude to Dad.
