What have I, Lord, in my nothingness, done to deserve such great Love of Yours. Is my faith really so weak that I need additional signs of Your miracle? Shouldn't every moment of my life be a miracle? Indeed it is! ... a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be poured into your lap. I knew that Mary of the shrine in Pompeii always hears the cries of her children, and that is my joy, but I am not worthy of the miracle of my beloved wife's tumor disappearing. I don't know how to thank You, Lord. Accept me as I am. Just let me remain in Your vineyard. An ultrasound confirmed two tumors, 5 cm each. As we persevered in prayer, about two months later and before the surgery, another doctor doing the same scan sees only one tumor, or, as he says, if there is anything there at all, it may be 1 cm, but he really doesn't see a tumor of the earlier size. In silence and solitude, come, Holy Spirit, and give me the light to discern Your plans and the tasks You want to send me to, my Lord. I am not worthy that You should come to me, but only say the word. Bless, beloved Father, my wife's further treatment. Strengthen her faith too. Bless the silver jubilee of our marriage and accept us for another 25 years of being together. Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to Your Name give glory.
