Testimony by DoraP
5 years ago I was walking past a clinic. I was healthy, nothing worrying was going on, yet something told me to go in and ask if I could get a chest X-ray. They did it. A few days later I picked up the result – I didn't even look at it, it sat on a shelf for a few days. One day, while tidying up, I read it and actually had to sit down from the shock: a nodular lesion in the right lung. Drama, despair – even before seeing the doctor, and after that even greater, because I heard: You have no time, get a CT scan as soon as possible, privately, here is a referral to the hospital. From then on everything happened lightning fast. Otwock hospital, surgery, removal of half the lung and waiting for the histopathology result – phew, the lesion was benign. Since then regular X-ray checkups – every six months, then every year. In September 2017 the doctor in Otwock says: since it's been quite a while since the surgery, we'll do a follow-up CT with contrast. We do it. Result: lungs OK, but an incidental finding is a splenic artery aneurysm. Nerves again, tests – fortunately the aneurysm is small, to be monitored. So we monitor it, a Doppler every six months with the best of specialists. A month ago, during a follow-up Doppler and ultrasound, the doctor froze looking at my liver – have you had liver tests done recently? No, I haven't, the last ones about a year ago but they were fine, so what now? heterogeneous echogenicity of the liver with small scattered hyperechoic areas-von Meyenburg complex – that's the description I got, along with a referral for a specialized liver MRI with a cholangio option (assessment of the bile ducts). He looked and looked at the ultrasound and Doppler image, wrote, took pictures. After I left, he even caught up with me in the parking lot so I would come back, because he would add something to the referral that would help the doctor reading the MRI assess the result. Immediately the search for a place that would do this test quickly – it turns out nobody does it, finally there is one, we do it in two days. I did it. We wait for the result. It was supposed to be ready within 10 business days – I wait 15 days and nothing. I go there, ask what's going on – they tell me the test was sent to other doctors to be read. Nerves and fear… Finally I get the result. There is NOTHING in the liver. NOTHING. Everything is perfectly fine. Not just the liver but all the other organs covered by the scan. SOMETHING was there – I saw it, the doctor saw it. IT'S GONE. That's not the end of it. In May of this year I had a blood test – as usual it was poor – my blood count has always been outside the normal range, anemia, poor iron absorption, but this time the results were so poor that the doctor said if they didn't improve by September she would admit me to the hospital. She prescribed a medication. I took a few tablets because I've never liked taking medicine. On top of that, the moment I heard something was wrong with my liver I stopped it completely, to wait for the results and not put extra strain on it. Last Monday I picked up my blood test results – NEVER IN MY WHOLE LIFE have I had such good results. Even iron and ferritin, which had been at extremely low levels – now it's as if they weren't mine – right in the middle of the normal range! Today I'm finding out how many people prayed for me during that time. I pray the Rosary every day myself, but the prayer of so many people, here too – works miracles, I know it. The protection of Our Lady is the best thing that can happen to us in life. There are no coincidences in my life – I know it. First that tumor in the lung, thanks to which we discovered the aneurysm, then thanks to the aneurysm the lesion found in the liver – that lesion which isn't there. I myself prayed to Our Lady, to St. Sister Faustina, to St. John Paul II, to St. Charbel and St. Padre Pio. My mom too. Today I'm finding out from friends that they prayed for me to St. Mary Angela Truszkowska and St. Rita. So many people prayed for my intentions here too. I thank the Lord God for all the graces He bestows on me! I have always felt His care! My Guardian Angel isn't idle either, he is always there when he's needed, I don't let him forget about me, I pray to him every day. I also pray to the Guardian Angels of all my loved ones, asking them to watch over them. Glory to the Lord for all the graces! Glory to God, the Father and the Son, for every ray of sunshine I can enjoy! For every blade of grass I can look at, for every smile of my children, for every breath! Glory!
