Prayer for the Gift of Children

Lord God, we thank You and praise You for our married life, because we know that You have joined us into one through Your Holy Spirit. We believe that our married life is Your plan for us. It was You who blessed the first married couple, saying: “Go forth and multiply.” We have been married for years and have no children (and we are still waiting for another child). You, O God, who form children in their mothers' wombs and breathe life into them, we ask You for the gift of children in our marriage. We entrust our health to You, praying that You heal every ailment and illness. We promise You that we will raise our children in the Christian faith and Christian morals. We bring our prayer to You through the intercession of Saint Stanislaus Papczyński, whose care for life is most pleasing to You. Who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.
