The Holy Rosary

Begin by making the Sign of the Cross, and on the crucifix pray the Apostles' Creed.

On the first bead pray the Our Father, and on the next three the Hail Mary. These are the introductory prayers; their intention is to ask for the virtues of faith, hope and charity. When praying all the parts of the Rosary, it is enough to say the introductory prayers only once, before the first part.

Then announce the part and the mystery as a theme for meditation, against the background of the repeated vocal prayers: the Our Father, 10 Hail Marys and the Glory Be.

After each Glory Be we pray the so-called Fatima Prayer: “O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Your mercy.”
