You who are Love,accept my prayer,– a plea for the ability to love.With Your help I desireto develop my manhood or womanhoodin keeping with the moral lawthat You have written in the heart of every person.I desire to shape my inner self,to multiply the talents through which I will be ableto make my studies and my work more fruitfuland to bestow only good on others.Give me the ability to discern between companionship,friendship and love, so that I may choose well.Prepare me, Lord, for love,for making happy the persondestined for me.

Give me, Lord, a pure gaze that reaches the depths of a person,so that I may see their worth and not outward appearances;a way of thinking worthy of a beautiful and responsible love;a language of unity and understanding,so that I may not wound with words.And a lifelong desire to build our relationship,so that it may always be a source of our joyand a school of love for our children.Make my life love.
