Prayer for Graces through the Intercession of Saint Monica

Faithful God, Light of our hearts, we praise You for Saint Monica, a woman of living faith and great love. She cared for her son Augustine and, in the name of Jesus, tirelessly urged him toward a Christian life. In answer to her prayers for the conversion of her son and her husband, You gave her a joy far greater than all the tears she had shed in pleading prayer to You. Hear my prayer… (here name your intention). As You once captured the heart of Saint Augustine, so now draw our hearts to Yourself, O Beauty ever ancient, ever new. Amen.
