Undervalued at work and facing layoff

I feel like I am an unnecessary employee; there are rumors about layoffs and many other things. My mental state is poor because of this. I am writing proposals to large foreign companies. I would like for a partnership with such a company to be established through me—it's not about the money, as I gain nothing from it; I would just like to feel that I am capable of something rather than being mocked, etc. It would boost my confidence.
