For happiness despite obstacles

I once had an unwanted church wedding. It is a long story. A stranger, family interests; I wanted to prove something to my mother, to win her approval, because she had distanced herself from me and acted hostile towards me, and this wedding was meant to change something. Today it is a decision I terribly regret. I no longer have any contact with that man, not even his phone number, and the church tribunal declared the marriage null at my request. Still, it is a big obstacle on the road to happiness and I feel bad about it.
