In my illness, I recently thought I would die of pain. But You, Lord Jesus, did not let me so easily wriggle out of proclaiming Your Mercy. I do not want You, God, to consider me a deserter, a panicker who cannot face a pain a thousand times smaller than the one You freely endured for our Salvation.
